To perform the work entrusted with the organization, various committees with participation from all the stakeholders of power sector in this region are constituted. Meetings of those committees are regularly convened. As per statute, the ERPC shall meet at least once in six months and issues related to policy matter are discussed. Normally ERPC  meeting is preceded by Technical Co-ordination Committee meeting, where all the issues related to operation, commercial and grid security are discussed and some of them are also referred to ERPC. To assist in the smooth functioning, some sub-committees like Operation Co-Ordination Sub-Committee (OCC), Commercial Sub-Committee and Protection Sub-Committee are also constituted. Normally OCC meetings are held on monthly basis, whereas the rest of the meetings are convened on regular intervals.

Recently, with the advent of regulatory regime, interpretational issues have gathered momentum and ERPC is providing a platform whereby the parties with contrasting views can settle their differences in the above committees before approaching to the regulators.
